Theme Parks in Paris

Paris theme parks are a great way to let off steam and have a break from sightseeing during your vacation in France.

Whether you want to zoom around on roller coasters or see your favorite Disney characters on parade, there’s something here for everyone. You can meet the wild residents of zoos and aquariums too.

These famous attraction parks in Paris entice travelers from around the world and are ideal for adventurers of all ages.

Disneyland

Situated in Marne-la-Vallée just east of the city, Disneyland is the best-known theme park in Paris. It’s packed with rides featuring many of the beloved cartoon characters that have captured the imagination of children for decades.

Adrenaline junkies will love tackling the high-octane roller coasters, while families can enjoy the parades and child-friendly attractions.

Don’t miss visiting the Walt Disney Studios Park, which offers cinema-themed rides and entertainment. You’ll feel like you’re in the movies! Multi-day Disneyland Paris theme park tickets are available for those who want to spend longer exploring the attractions.

Astérix Park

The French Astérix cartoon is the inspiration behind this Paris attraction park – the clue is in the name! Located just outside the city in Plailly, this Paris theme park is second only to Disneyland when it comes to the number of rides available.

Astérix Park is split into different sections, with separate areas for families and thrill-seekers. If you’re feeling brave, you can take on the OzIris or the Tonnerre de Zeus roller coasters. Those looking for a little less action will enjoy the Carrousel de César and the sea lion water shows.

Aquarium de Paris

The Aquarium de Paris is handily found right in the center of the city at Trocadero Gardens. There are over 13,000 marine creatures to encounter, with species from both domestic and international waters. You can meet the comical penguins and marvel at colorful starfish as you wander around the exhibits.

This family-friendly Paris aquarium also has a state-of-the-art underwater tunnel that takes you up close and personal with the sharks. See if you can spot the seven different species! Don’t leave without checking out the Polynesian coral tank or the psychedelic jellyfish display – you won’t believe your eyes!

Zoos

Africa may be far away, but the wildlife attraction parks in Paris will make you feel like you’re on safari. At Paris Zoological Park, you’ll discover a menagerie of fascinating species and animal icons. From big to small, from lions to leafcutter ants, the inhabitants are waiting to meet you.

Meanwhile, in the center of Paris, the Jardin des Plantes is a zoological garden with a difference. The Jardin des Plantes is France's main botanical garden, but also houses adorable creatures, such as red pandas, orangutans and snow leopards.

Another great animal attraction in Paris, Thoiry ZooSafari is more than just a zoo. It offers a safari experience, as well as the chance to zipline over some of the enclosures. Here you can see exotic creatures from around the world, including lions, zebras, giraffes and elephants.
