Things to do in Mallorca

There is more to the Spanish island of Mallorca than holiday resorts. Abundant in history, nature and lively nightlife, it’s easy to see why the capital city of Mallorca, Palma, is a popular tourist destination. The city is so vibrant and interesting that it just begs to be explored. Palma is compact, lending itself to wandering the scenic streets by foot or by bike. You can visit the awe-inspiring Palma Cathedral, called La Seu by locals, walk through the Es Baluard Museum and Bellver Castle - all before lunch. Speaking of lunch, the city's many cafes, restaurants, and bars are an attraction all by themselves. Dine on tapas, traditional cuisine or just have a few drinks while watching the people go by. Palma tourists and residents enjoy a party so finding a trendy nightclub or a unique bar is easy. Palma has a rich history that is evident throughout the city streets and monuments. You can see influences from its many conquerors. Roman, Moorish, Gothic and Muslim influences will all be encountered in your travels. A visit to Palma would not be complete without immersing yourself in the surrounding natural splendor. Beautiful beaches and picturesque mountains are everywhere. Hiking and boat rides are excellent ways to explore the island. The city sits on the Bay of Palma, and some of the best views on the island are from the water. There's just so many reasons to visit Palma de Mallorca. Your only problem will be having enough time to see and do it all.
