Tickets for Shows & Performances in Nusa Lembongan

The Balinese culture and traditions are present in many Bali shows and other types of entertainment available to enjoy on a visit to the island.

Even though the island is small, it has a big heart that is evident in their cultural shows and events. A fascinating and alluring island destination with friendly locals, Bali boasts diverse tourist attractions.

Kecak Dance Show

Kecak dance performances usually take place in the evening at Balinese Hindu temples such as Uluwatu Temple and Tanah Lot. Typically 50-100 men form concentric circles and chant while moving their bodies in a graceful rhythmic manner.

Historically, Kecak was a trance ritual but it has since been adapted as a drama and dance performance.

Kekac dance shows are often combined with tours to Uluwatu Temple or Tanah Lot. The show takes place at sunset, and watching the performance at a striking clifftop temple is a riveting way to end a day of touring.

Many tours follow the dance performance with an alfresco seafood dining experience on the beach on Jimbaran Ban.

Devdan Show

Devdan show – Treasure of the Archipelago is inspired by the cultures of Indonesia and showcases the cultures of Bali, Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and Papua. This contemporary and modern acrobatic dance performance only operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights and should be booked well in advance.

If you are looking for an exciting and enthralling evening activity, the Devdan show is a great choice. Several seating categories are offered for the performance at Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, three of which include a return hotel shuttle transfer.

Barong Dance

The Barong is a popular mythical lion prevalent in Balinese culture. A Barong dance represents the classic battle between good and evil and is presented by dance troupes at popular stops on many Bali tours.

With its elaborate costumes and bright colors, a Barong dance performance is one of Bali’s most popular highlights. If you simply want to experience this activity, you can prebook to attend a performance, and even upgrade your ticket to include a photo package or a set lunch menu.

There is also a Barong dance tour option that includes a visit to a coffee plantation where you can follow the coffee making process and taste some of the aromatic Balinese coffee flavors.

Legong Dance

For a more sedate and complex dance form, Legong is characterized by its complicated footwork, expressive gestures and expressions and intricate finger movements. In Bali, Legong is usually danced at public festivals, but excerpts are also performed for tourists.

While not as common or as regularly performed as other Balinese dances, you may find Legong dance performances included on some of the longer and more comprehensive tours.
