What is the typical itinerary?

Day 1

The multi-day tour from Amman kicks off on a high note as head to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Petra. You will drive around 3.5 hours from Amman to reach the city where you will check into your hotel. Explore Wadi Mousa after all the day visitors have left and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 2

Tuck into an early breakfast at your hotel and head off to the rock-carved ancient city of Petra. Walk through the imposing Al-Siq corridor to reach the magnificent Treasury, Altar of Sacrifice and other tombs and structures.

Soak in as much as you can and visit the Petra Museum to learn about the Nabataeans who painstakingly carved the city from rock. You will have a chance to have lunch before being transported to Wadi Rum for the next phase of the adventure.

As you pass through the desert you will be surrounded by scenes from Lawrence of Arabia, a desert landscape created from sand and dramatic red-rock formations. Check into your luxury Bedouin accommodation to spend the night under the starry desert sky.  

Day 3

The economy package in 3-star hotels costs US$650 per person sharing and the 4-star tour is only slightly more expensive at US$750 per person sharing. The most luxurious tour is the 5-star option at US$940 per person sharing.

4-Day trips from Amman: Petra, Wadi Rum, Mount Nebo, Karak Castle

This tour still covers the most desired attractions in Jordan but it also includes several other captivating historic sites along the way. On day one you will visit locations like Jerash city and ruins, Ajloun Castle and Amman’s Citadel to learn more about the capital’s history.

On the second day, you will first stop at Mount Nebo outside of Amman and then head south to Kerak Castle. You will drive along the iconic King’s Highway, one of the most important trading routes of the ancient world.

Wind your way through the arid landscape to the last stop for the day, Little Petra, where you will get a taste of bigger things to come.

Day 3 kicks off with a visit to Petra to discover its ancient secrets before heading off to Wadi Rum to spend the night at a Bedouin camp. On the last day, you will visit Aqaba in the morning to see the Red Sea and then venture back north to float in the Dead Sea.

You will be taken back to your hotel in Amman at the end of the fourth day.
