30 – Bring mom (and the kids) to the Cozumel Pearl Farm
If you’re a collector of rare jewels, we hope your ears are perked for this one… Cozumel Pearl Farm isn’t just the ‘only active pearl farm in the Caribbean’, but they are the only pearl farm in the world that cultivates their species of oysters.
The six-hour adventure starts with a scenic boat trip around the area where the fish farm is located. During a tour of the farm, walk around the facilities and discover how the pearls are cultivated.
Next, it’s off to go snorkeling at the farm’s oyster hatchery (pearls grow inside oysters) and you can witness the underwater cultivation boxes in which they grow. This is proceeded by more snorkel time to their artificial reef, sunken statues and sandbanks.
The only way to purchase one of these magnificent pearls (from the rare Pinctada Radiata oyster, more commonly known as the Atlantic Pearl oyster) is during a tour.
31 – Take to the skies on a parasailing excursion

Visit the best-preserved pre-Hispanic site on the island, where Mayans once made pilgrimages to worship the Goddess Ixchel.
This sacred center was also a strategic trading settlement, with an unusual network of roads leading to hidden forest temples.
Take a wander around the San Gervasio complex and try to imagine what life was like here back in the day. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
35 – See the stars from the Planetario De Cozumel Cha’an Ka’an
Have you always dreamt of flying to the moon or wondered what it really looks like in space? Fulfill your fantasies at the Planetario De Cozumel Cha’an Ka’an — whether you’re an adult or a kid.
There are lots of fun and exciting activities centered around the solar system, constellations, and other galaxies!
Enter the Digital Dome to feel what it’s like to be in outer space as six projectors transmit insane digital images on the semicircle-shaped roof/wall that’s built-in with screens.
The Astronomical Observatory is perhaps the most special feature … Thanks to the planetarium’s positioning, have the chance to see the Milky Way from here.

36 – Swim to the bottom of the ocean during a Sea Trek Helmet Dive

In the business for more than 30 years, the diving center offers a special ‘sea trek’ adventure. Undergo a short safety briefing and then accompanied by the professionals, it’s time to hit the water.
You will suit up with a special underwater helmet that allows you to not only see the marine world with maximum clarity, but you can breathe in the helmet too! The best part is the only piece of equipment you need to gear up in is the helmet!
There are two locations in Cozumel where they offer sea trek helmet dives; inside Jeanie’s Beach Club (downtown) and Chankanaab Park.
37 – Get back to nature at Punta Sur Ecological Park
Punta Sur Eco Beach Park is the largest ecological reserve in Cozumel. This one is for nature lovers and beach buffs looking for a wilderness experience.
There are over 1000 hectares to explore, with lagoons and lighthouses being the cream of the crop. See if you can spy crocodiles from the observation tower and admire the sea fan gardens along the reef while snorkeling.
Head to the Celarain Lighthouse (Faro Celarain) for scenic views and to investigate a once-used light beacon which in recent years was transformed into a lighthouse museum.
En route to the museum, look out for the El Caracol Archaeological Zone (Zona Arqueológica El Caracol) on the road there. Here sit the ruins of a small Mayan temple and look out for the conch shells built into its ancient design.
Other activities to try at Punta Sur Eco Beach Park are kayaking, snorkeling, taking a bike tour, enjoying a massage, or toasting at the Tequilera — a Tequila bar.
38 – See Chichén Itza and more Mexican landmarks at Discover Mexico Park Cozumel

You’ll pop into several churches, and shop for handicrafts and clothing in the historic center. See if you can spot the giant Mexican flag and take selfies at San Miguel Bay.
