What are the prices of Forestal Park tickets?

The Forestal Park entrance fee varies depending on visitor age. Prices are as follows:

• Adults (13+ years): €24
• Children (5-12 years): €19

Each Forestal Park ticket gives you access to one of the treetop circuits. You can remain on the course for as long as it takes you to complete it. If you wish to try out both routes, you will need to purchase two separate tickets.

Included in your Forestal Park entry is a safety briefing, a harness, liability insurance and parking if required. Anyone wishing to accompany an explorer into the park without taking part in the activities themselves can do so for free.

Should you book in advance?

Yes! There are a fixed number of Forestal Park tickets issued each day, to control visitor numbers and ensure safety for all those taking part. Ticket sales can also be limited by harness availability, so it’s advisable that you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Reserving ahead also means you can pick the best time slot to suit your itinerary. As the Forestal Park visit is just 3 hours long, with a bit of planning you could fit some other activities into your day. Boat tours and whale watching excursions are highly recommended for a bit of a contrast.

What will you see and do inside?

Your Forestal Park tickets give you access to a world of adventure up in the treetops. There are two courses to choose from, each with a different level of difficulty.

If it’s your first time tackling an aerial obstacle course, then the Family Circuit is the one to try. Yet if you want to test your nerves on the longest zipline in the Canary Islands, then opt for the Sport Course. Either way, you’ll have a blast.

Briefing Course

On arrival, you’ll take part in a Briefing Course which is included in the Forestal Park rate. This is where the instructor will explain the features of your chosen circuit and show you how to use the safety equipment. You’ll learn how to climb the ropes, tackle the obstacles and slide down the ziplines.

Once you’ve mastered the tactics and maneuvers, it’s time to head to your booked course and attempt the real thing. Help will always be at hand if you need it, and rest assured there are some loopholes if you want to avoid the hardest parts.

Family Course

This obstacle course is designed for beginners, including families with children aged 5 years and over. There are three different sections, each one getting higher than the last. It’s a great way to build up your courage before the final stretch.

There are ziplines, climbing walls, hanging nets and suspension bridges to navigate, as well as a few surprises along the way. You’ll enjoy 30 crossings and three giant ziplines, all up in the beautiful treetop canopy. The course takes around 2 hours to complete.

Sport Course

The 3-hour Sport Course is more extreme and aimed at those who want to get their hearts racing. Anyone aged 10 years and over can take part. There are five individual sections on this route – they increase in difficulty as you go along.

This course boasts a whopping 50 crossings, including five giant ziplines – the longest is over 200 meters. There’s also a Tarzan swing where you can live out all your jungle fantasies. Will you be daring enough to take that leap of faith?

Where is the Forestal Park located?

Forestal Park is up in the north of Teide National Park, not far from Las Lagunetas. It’s easy to reach by car from the south using the TF-1 motorway, before exiting towards La Laguna and following on to La Esperanza. The park will be on your right-hand side, just off the TF-24.

After your visit, why not drive back through the national park and take in the Teide Cable Car or the Mount Teide Observatory too?

What times is it open?

Forestal Park is open 10 AM to 8 PM during summer (April to October), and 10 AM to 6 PM in winter (November to March). The last entry of the day is 3 hours before closing time. Note that the park isn’t open every day of the year so check the online schedule when making your booking.

You will need to arrive half an hour before the start time on your Forestal Park tickets. This is to give you enough time for the safety briefing and equipment fitting at the beginning of the session.

If you want to do the Sport Circuit, don’t book the last entry slot of the day. This will not give you enough time to complete the course.

When is the best time to go to Forestal Park?

If you prefer warmer temperatures for outdoor activities, you might enjoy visiting Forestal Park during the summer months (June to September) when temperatures are typically higher. However, keep in mind that this season also tends to be busier with tourists.

To avoid larger crowds, it's recommended to visit Forestal Park during spring (March to May) and autumn (October to November), when the park is likely to be less crowded, allowing you to enjoy the activities with shorter lines and more tranquility.

If possible, consider visiting Forestal Park on weekdays rather than weekends since it is generally less crowded.
