Things to do in Orlando

Receiving 52 million visitors per year, Orlando hardly needs an introduction. With its subtropical climate, this Florida city is enormously popular with visitors both from within the United States and abroad. It’s no wonder Walt Disney chose to build what has become the largest theme park in the world outside Orlando. Other theme parks, such as Sea World and Universal Studios, are also based in the area. But there’s more to Orlando than just theme parks. Despite the urban sprawl of the city, it's still possible to experience Florida's wildlife nearby. Fan boat tours are a favorite activity for people who want to explore the swamps and lagoons of Florida, home to thousands of alligators and other creatures. Florida’s climate makes it an ideal place to play golf, and it’s no surprise to find that Orlando has some spectacular courses. For those who prefer shopping, Orlando offers a staggering number of malls, from cheap and cheerful to seriously high-end. When it becomes time to eat, Orlando’s history of immigration will quickly become apparent. The city offers restaurants with cuisines from around the world, and ethnic neighborhoods like Little Brazil are a joy to navigate. Also, don’t forget about the theme parks. Disney and Universal are both home to a staggering array of restaurants to suit all tastes. Orlando’s climate and theme parks have made it wildly popular with tourists. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t still more to explore in this unique and lively city.
