Loosely based on Hamlet, “The Lion King” is the story of young Simba and his struggles to become king of Africa’s Serengeti Pridelands. Simba’s treacherous Uncle Scar kills Simba’s father, Mufasa, in hopes of taking over the throne.
Knowing that he’s standing in Scar’s way, Simba escapes to safety. During his time away from the Pridelands, Simba prepares to replace his father as king. Ready to battle Scar, Simba returns to his native land to assume his role as king.
