Chrissi Island

As one of the European Union’s protected areas, Chrissi Island has recently entered an effort to preserve the location from further man-made damage. From the late spring until early fall months of the year, disembarkation from all boats is banned. Some beaches can still be visited, but visitors must swim to shore.

Day tours that include a visit to Chrissi Island by boat may only be able to circle the island upon arrival. The interior of the island, including the cedar forest, is completely off-limits for 2023.
