Here's everything you need to know about the Dubai Explorer Pass, one of the best investments for sightseeing in Dubai.
The Dubai Explorer Pass allows you to choose between 3, 4, 5 or 7 attractions, tours or activities. You will have a 60-day period in which to use your pass.
Here is a list of some of the many options that can be accessed at discounted or competitive prices with a Dubai Explorer Pass to help you make an informed choice:
To begin the process, you will need to download the Go City app on your mobile phone. Once you have chosen between the 3, 4, 5 or 7 choice options, you can use your confirmation number to add your pass to your phone. You can also print a copy of your pass and bring it with you if you prefer.
At each attraction, tour or activity your pass will be scanned until you have reached your maximum number of choices. Note that some tours and activities do require advance booking. You can check what is required by visiting the Explorer Pass reservations page on the Go City website.
The app is also great in that it gives you access to plenty of information, suggested itineraries as well as a city map to help you plan your sightseeing.
Entrance to your chosen attraction will activate your pass and you will have 60 days from this point in time to use the pass.
The Dubai Explorer Pass options are priced as follows:
Special offers and discounts are also offered at certain times and you may be able to purchase your Explorer Pass for even less than the advertised prices when making your online booking.
If you would like to take in more sights than the Explorer Pass allows, you can also consider an All-Inclusive 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7-day pass with prices starting from US$340 per adult and US$300 per child.
Before deciding whether an Explorer Pass is right for you, consider how much sightseeing you will have time to do, what tours you are hoping to participate in and how many attractions you would like to see.
If you are only in Dubai for a day, then an Explorer Pass will probably not offer good value, but if you are staying for longer and are hoping to see and do some of the most popular activities in Dubai, the Explorer Pass may be right for you.
In general, the longer your pass is valid for, the more likely it is that you will get the best value for your money. An All-Inclusive pass is best if you would like to choose more than 7 options, but even with an Explorer Pass, you can save up to 50% when compared to booking activities separately.
