What are the best Safari World tours?

Self-guided Safari World Tour from Bangkok

While it is possible to use public transportation or drive out to the theme park yourself, organizing the journey and navigating Bangkok's roads can be challenging. To take the stress out of your visit to the theme park, you can book a self-guided excursion to Safari World, which includes tickets and shared or private transportation. Prices for these packages are around US$35 to US$40 per person.

Private Safari World Tour

For an even more comprehensive and intimate experience on your excursion from Bangkok, consider a guided private Safari World tour. Aside from covering tickets and transportation, these luxury tours include the services of a knowledgeable guide, who will take through the theme park and the wildlife wonders within. These excursions are private affairs and typically cost around US$260 per person.

What will you see inside?

Bangkok's Safari World is a sprawling wildlife park divided into two major zones: Safari Park and Marine Park. This Safari Park is an open zoo that mimics the natural habitats of many animals, such as lions, tigers, zebras, giraffes, and deer, which roam freely.

The Marine Park is more of a traditional, nautical themed zoo, where you'll find various marine life like dolphins, sea lions and sharks. This zone also features an aquarium and a river ride, where you can see crocodiles and hippos enjoying their day in the sun.

Aside from exploring the theme park zones on your own, you can also check many animal shows that are scheduled at different times throughout the day. Visits to the Bangkok Safari World usually last 4 to 6 hours.

How to get there?

Bangkok's Safari World is about 35 kilometers northeast of the city center, with the drive taking about an hour, depending on traffic. Aside from regular buses that can take you to Ban Uea Athon Hathairat station (about 15 minutes away from the park on foot), you can also take shuttle buses from Siam Square and Sathorn directly to Safari World.

What are the opening times?

The Bangkok Safari World is open every day of the week, except for Mondays, between 9 AM and 4:30 PM, while Marine World operates between 9 AM and 5 PM.

Is it wheelchair friendly?

Yes, Safari World in Bangkok is wheelchair-friendly and has been adapted to provide access, as well as restrooms and other amenities, to visitors with disabilities.

When is the best time to visit Safari World?

The best time to visit Safari World in Bangkok is from November to February during Thailand's cool, dry season, when you'll experience pleasant temperatures and low humidity. The animals are also more active in cooler conditions, increasing the likelihood of spotting various species. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends, offering a more personalized experience.
