When it comes to accommodation, most visitors make a beeline for the beach. There are plentiful coastal resorts on offer, from budget-friendly getaways to lavish complexes brimming with facilities. Head to Belek for all-inclusive packages and an upscale vibe or choose Konyaalti Beach for affordable rooms and easy access to the town. 

If you prefer cobblestone streets to sandy swathes, consider staying in the old part of the city – known locally as Kaleici. Here, you'll find charming locally run hotels and heritage properties bursting with character. You'll also have historic monuments and traditional restaurants on the doorstep. 

Some travelers will require a visa to enter Turkey, depending on their country of origin. Make sure you check whether you need one well in advance of your trip. Antalya is renowned for its year-round warm climate – come between April and October for the sunniest weather.
