If you’re feeling adventurous and fancy a change of scenery, then jeep tours in Bodrum are just the ticket. You’ll see a different side of this Turkish paradise, with plenty of photo opportunities during the ride.

Relax as your driver whisks you off along mountain trails and hidden valleys. Or take the wheel yourself and feel the thrills as you bounce through pine forests and pastures. Either way, you’ll have a day to remember.

Here's all you need to know about jeep tours, one of the most exhilarating outdoor activities in Bodrum.

What are the best jeep tours in Bodrum?

You have a couple of options when it comes to Bodrum jeep trips. Group tours are the most popular as they’re cheap and cheerful, while private excursions offer a more exclusive experience. Decide which is best according to your personal travel preferences and budget.

Group jeep excursions in Bodrum

Most jeep tours in Bodrum operate on a group basis. This is a convivial way to travel with like-minded explorers and you’ll likely come away with lots of new friends. Sharing the ride with others keeps the cost down, making this the cheapest option for a jeep adventure in Bodrum.

After being collected from your hotel in the 4X4, you’ll join the jeep convoy and head into the mountains of the Bodrum Peninsula. You will venture far from the city bustle, exploring back roads, winding rivers and hidden valleys. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife.

Feeling brave? Then you can take a turn behind the wheel and experience the thrill of off-road driving yourself. Soak up the scenery as you power along deep ravines and through fragrant pine forests in search of adventure.

Next up is a swim in a mountain river – it’s the perfect way to cool off on a hot sunny day. Then you’ll stop in a small Turkish village for lunch at a local restaurant. This is your chance to swap stories with your fellow travelers who have been journeying in the other jeeps.

The afternoon sees you enjoying an extended drive through the mountains, pausing at scenic spots along the way. You’ll be dropped back at your Bodrum hotel in the early evening.

Private jeep tours in Bodrum

For a more exclusive experience, book a private Bodrum jeep excursion. You’ll have the air-conditioned vehicle all to yourself – there will be just you and your group on the trip. The schedule can be more flexible than on a group tour so if you want to spend longer in a particular place, just ask.

The day begins with a convenient collection from your Bodrum accommodation. Unlike with the group rides, you’ll have both a driver and a guide who will give you their full attention throughout the trip. These trips do not offer the option for self-driving experiences – just sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

You’ll venture deep into the wild interiors of the peninsula, heading far off the beaten track where sensational vistas await. You can ask the driver to stop for photos wherever you like.

Common stops include the villages of Camlik and Etrim which are famous for their traditional carpet weaving. Here you’ll discover the rural way of life which has changed little over the centuries. A local lunch is usually enjoyed in one of these destinations.

After an exhilarating day out it’s time to return to Bodrum. Enjoy more stunning scenery during the drive and arrive back at your hotel in time for dinner.

How much do jeep tours in Bodrum cost?

Group jeep tours in Bodrum cost US$50 per person. This is for a 7-hour adventure around the Bodrum Peninsula, so you know you’re getting your money’s worth. You can expect up to 100 participants on these tours – this is the reason the price is so low. For a 9-hour trip, the price rises to US$70 per passenger and includes more time out on the road.

Private Bodrum jeep trips start at US$400 for a 5-hour trip, and US$570 for 7 hours out and about. These prices are higher, but the experience is reflected in the cost. You’ll have a much more exclusive day out, with VIP treatment from door to door.
