Did you know that the firefighting profession was established in Cincinnati? For this reason, the city opened up the Cincinnati Fire Museum, dedicated to learning more about this important social role and job across the world – firefighters.
Walk through the exhibits showcasing the history of the first recorded fire in Cincinnati, the formation of the first firefighters in the area, examples of the simple tools used by firefighters, and how it’s changed over the years, the many important historical moments that shaped how firefighters do their job today, and so much more.

32 – Soar over Ohio in a hot air balloon ride
A magical blend of thrills and romance, for a truly unique and memorable experience, look no further than the hot air balloon ride!
One of Cincinnati’s most popular attractions (so long as you don’t mind the early wakeup), this unforgettable adventure is entirely suitable for beginner-level adventurers — all you need to do is arrive at the launch site where the friendly local pilot will greet you and walk you through the basic steps of flying a hot air balloon.
The roughly one-hour flight itself provides an aerial view of Ohio’s breathtaking landscape from 3,000 feet high, and after landing, you’ll cap off the experience with some complimentary champagne before enjoying the rest of the day!
33 – Learn about local history at the Behringer-Crawford Museum
Cross the state border to Covington, Kentucky (only a 10-minute drive from Cincinnati!) and head to the Behringer-Crawford Museum, showcasing the history of northern Kentucky and Ohio valley with interesting displays, original artifacts, archived documents, and more.

37 – Rock out in the nosebleed section at Bogart’s!
In operation since 1905 with a colorful history, Bogart’s is a staple of the Cincinnati music scene and one of America’s oldest continually-operating rock clubs.
Located out in the Corryville neighborhood near the University of Cincinnati, the iconic venue has welcomed legends like Pearl Jam to the Ramones, the Beastie Boys, The Strokes, and Snoop Dogg over its journey.

Craving that heart-in-your-mouth adrenaline rush but too nervous to jump out of an actual plane? (at 14,000 feet above the ground, we don’t blame you.)
Well, you’re in luck: Cincinnati is home to one of just a handful of indoor skydiving facilities in the Midwest! Levitating in a giant wind tunnel, you’ll be able to practice your flips and nosedives to your heart’s content!
Just make sure to book ahead, as it can get pretty busy on weekends.
41 – Get on the tallest rollercoaster at Stricker’s Grove amusement park
Get ready for an amusing, good time as you head to Stricker’s Grove amusement park, located 30 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati.
The park – which is comprised of an amusement park and picnic park, has over 10 different rides, ranging from beginner to mid-range, mostly geared towards children and teens. From the largest rollercoaster, the Tornado, to the softer, family-oriented rollercoaster, the Teddy Bear, and other fun games!
If you’re not into the games as much, guests can take advantage of the ample picnic tables and grills to enjoy a lovely BBQ lunch before exploring the rest of the park.
Be aware that the amusement park is only open seasonally 4 times a year, with a few special dates throughout the year for the public.

Sitting right next to the widely-revered Great American Ball Park on Broadway Street, the Heritage Bank Center — home of the Cincinnati Cyclones — can be a bit of a hidden gem.
